About the Role:

This strategic position will oversee the company's property portfolio, guiding acquisitions, disposals, and lease negotiations to support the organisation's ambitious growth plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive property strategy aligned with the retailer's business objectives.
  • Lead the acquisition and disposal of retail properties, ensuring favourable terms and conditions.
  • Manage lease negotiations and renewals to secure optimal agreements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate store openings, relocations, and closures.
  • Analyse market trends to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Oversee property management activities, ensuring compliance with regulations and company standards.
  • Build and maintain relationships with landlords, agents, and local authorities.
  • Manage and develop an established team of property professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Prepare and present property performance and strategy reports to the executive board, confidently challenging and influencing decisions when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in property management, real estate, or a related field, preferably within the retail sector.
  • Strong understanding of property law, lease agreements, and market dynamics.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to analyse data and market trends for strategic decision-making.
  • Ability to present to and challenge the executive board effectively.
  • Leadership experience with a successful track record in managing teams and projects.
  • Relevant qualifications in property, real estate, or business management.
