LD and Autism Transformation Specialist

Join Essex County Council in a dynamic role that transforms health and social care systems for people with learning disabilities and/or autism.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on the Transforming Care Programme, a collaborative effort between three Integrated Care Systems and three Local Authorities across Southend, Essex, and Thurrock.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist advice and professional expertise to health professionals and social workers.
  • Demonstrate expert and effective practice in complex situations.
  • Work with and support colleagues to mitigate high levels of risk.
  • Make independent decisions and work across services to ensure agencies respond/react when required.
  • Troubleshoot to remove barriers and resolve issues.
