Kent Police and Essex Police are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join their team as a Press Officer on a maternity cover basis for 12 months.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining professional relationships with officers, staff, and journalists from local, regional, and national media organisations.

Job Overview

This is a challenging role that requires the ability to manage risk, work in a fast-paced environment, and provide excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
  • Support the force's digital engagement and social media team as well as the wider Corporate Communications department.
  • Provide comprehensive media training to the wider organisation.
  • Work closely with other teams within the force, including the Digital Engagement and Social Media Team.
Requirements
  • Able to manage risk.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Estimated Salary:

£45,000 - £55,000 per annum.
