**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Metabolic CNS to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our specialist team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with rare metabolic disorders.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Coordinate inpatient and outpatient care for patients with complex metabolic conditions
  • Organize emergency alerts and illness management to ensure timely and effective treatment
  • Conduct specialist tests, investigations, and infusions to diagnose and manage metabolic disorders
  • Provide education and support to healthcare professionals, patients, and families to promote understanding and management of metabolic conditions
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Collaborate with community, hospital, and network staff to ensure seamless care and support for patients
  • Develop and share expertise within the team to improve patient outcomes and quality of care
  • Embed patient and public involvement in specialist nursing practice to ensure patient-centered care
  • Ensure that patients and families are aware of all treatment options, including clinical trials
  • Work as a patient advocate to negotiate the patient journey and ensure optimum care is provided

  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Experience in providing care to patients with complex metabolic conditions
  • Knowledge of metabolic disorders and their management
  • Ability to develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient
