Job Title: General Hotel Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized General Hotel Assistant to join our team at The Aurora Group. As a General Hotel Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel business, supporting reception, front of house, and housekeeping teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students while on duty, adhering to Company policies on Food Hygiene, Food Safety, Health & Safety, and COSHH.
  • Attend all relevant meetings as required.
  • Deliver exceptional customer care, maintaining high standards of service.
  • Complete cleaning and preparation tasks to support business needs and requirements.
  • Conduct regular checks on toilets, bedrooms, and laundry tasks, ensuring cleanliness and compliance.
  • Support with clearing and cleaning of still room when no kitchen porter is on shift.
  • Clear and clean public areas as required, maintaining high standards.
  • Take direction from the Hotel Manager and Senior Leadership Team on tasks to meet daily business needs.
  • Cover reception duties professionally, including taking phone calls, bookings, checking in guests, and completing payments.

Requirements:

  • Hotel experience in all departments, with a positive team player attitude.
  • City and Guilds Hospitality and Catering Level 2 or equivalent.
  • Reception experience.
  • Experience working in a hotel or restaurant setting.
  • Housekeeping experience.
  • Experience working in a team setting.
  • Food Hygiene certificate (desirable).
  • Allergen's course (desirable).
  • Working with young vulnerable adults or children (desirable).
