About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at a 13th-century hotel in Somerset. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, leading and developing a team of 7 chefs, and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring smooth operation and high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Lead and develop a team of 7 chefs, providing guidance and support to ensure the success of the kitchen.
- Work closely with the hotel management to develop and implement new menu ideas and concepts.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and exceptional guest experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a rosette environment.
- Formal training in culinary arts.
- A proven track record of leading a team and developing staff.
- Passion for delivering exceptional food quality and presentation.
- Good attention to detail and ability to multitask.
