Job Summary

The Aurora Group is seeking a highly motivated and flexible Hotel Operations Assistant to join our team at Foxes Academy, a specialist college and training hotel for young people with learning disabilities. As a Hotel Operations Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the hotel business, supporting reception, front of house, and housekeeping teams.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students while on duty, adhering to Company policies on Food Hygiene, Food Safety, Health & Safety, and COSHH.
  • Attend all relevant meetings as required.
  • Deliver exceptional customer care, maintaining high standards of service.
  • Complete cleaning and preparation tasks to support business needs and requirements.
  • Conduct regular checks on toilets, bedrooms, and laundry tasks, cleaning and completing as required.
  • Support with clearing and cleaning of the still room if no kitchen porter is on shift.
  • Clear and clean all public areas, maintaining high standards.
  • Take direction from the Hotel Manager and Senior Leadership Team to complete tasks meeting daily business needs.
  • Cover reception duties professionally, including taking phone calls, bookings, checking in guests, and completing payments.

This is a flexible role, allowing you to choose your working days and shifts. As a Hotel Operations Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to the success of our students and the hotel.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a team player, with excellent communication and customer service skills. You will also need to be flexible, able to adapt to changing situations, and have a strong attention to detail.
