About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Foxes Academy, a specialist college and training hotel for young people with learning disabilities. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of all furniture, fixtures, and fittings in all the bedrooms and public areas of Foxes Hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Check each hotel room and area daily to ensure correct items are placed in the rooms.
- Ensure the welfare and comfort of our guests, ensuring they are well cared for during their stay with us and will wish to return.
- Assist and/or attend student and hotel events, such as graduations.
- Supervise and control the laundry and domestic stock, ensuring all chemicals are securely locked away.
- Ensure all guest accommodation is prepared by the correct time and inspected before a guest is shown to their room.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the students on duty by being aware of Company policies relating to Food Hygiene, Health and Safety, RIDDOR, and COSHH.
- Ensure all equipment and products required for effective housekeeping and kitchen needs are ordered in a timely manner.
- Effectively work independently, and alongside students where necessary, promoting independent skills, being aware of individual learning objectives, and ensuring health and safety is followed, using highly relevant resources.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Cleaner or Housekeeper.
- Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
- Customer-oriented and friendly.
- Prioritization and time management skills.
- Working quickly without compromising quality.
- Experience in supporting in the care or education industry.
- Desirable: an understanding of working with people with a disability.
- Level 2 in English and Maths.
