Genetic Patient Pathway Coordinator

Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and efficient individual to join our Clinical Genetics Administration Team as a Genetic Patient Pathway Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that genetic patient pathways are effectively managed, including booking and managing patient appointments in clinics at various hospital locations.
Main Duties of the Job
- To monitor urgent referrals of patients and book appointments as necessary, coordinating patients' requests, clinical priority, and staff clinic calendars.
- To liaise with patients/families to arrange appointments as directed by the clinical team.
- To ensure all requested appointments are booked within agreed time frames, while tracking and notifying appropriate clinicians where patients have not attended.
- To have a sound understanding of 18-week waiting times, targets, and to work proactively to ensure that all targets are maintained.
- To work with admin staff in other departments or hospitals to ensure clinic lists are correct and up to date, relaying any changes to clinic location, etc., to affected clinicians and colleagues.
