About the Role:
This exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Dorset Council. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with children and young people with disabilities, providing personalized support and care that promotes independence, confidence, and self-esteem.
Key Responsibilities:
Your main duties will include:
- Supporting young residents in their daily lives, including personal care, cooking, and cleaning
- Participating in activities that promote socialization, skill-building, and fun
- Collaborating with other team members, families, and external agencies to ensure seamless care delivery
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
- Experience working with children and young people with disabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to delivering high-quality care and making a positive impact on young lives
