About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team of support professionals at Dorset Council, working with children and young people who are disabled at Chestnut House in Weymouth.

The role of a Support Professional is highly rewarding, providing daily support to children in their lives, creating a positive and safe environment for them to grow and develop.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting children in developing essential skills such as cooking, cleaning, and personal care.
  • Organising and participating in engaging activities such as gardening, swimming, art, and community trips.
  • Creating a welcoming and non-clinical environment, working closely with other team members, families, and external agencies to provide exceptional care.
Our Approach

Our team is committed to providing high-quality care and creating opportunities for children, seeking individuals skilled in forming positive relationships, adaptable in meeting each child's needs, and passionate about improving the lives and opportunities of disabled children and their families.

We offer a competitive salary of £26,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional allowances for sleep-in duties and bank holidays. Our generous annual leave entitlement and LGPS pension scheme demonstrate our commitment to your well-being and career development.
