Support Professional for Neurodiverse Students

We are seeking a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to support students with autism and complex needs at our special needs school in Wiltshire. This full-time, long-term position offers the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.
The school specializes in supporting students with neurodivergent conditions, such as autism, ADHD, and other complex needs. Our unique site features an old converted manor house, providing a welcoming environment for our students. We have a strong and retained team, with many staff members staying with us for several years.
While previous experience in a school setting is not necessary, we are looking for individuals who have supported children in alternative settings, such as youth centers or care centers. What is essential is your experience in working with neuro-divergent children, particularly those with autism. You will need to hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one as part of your application.
Responsibilities:- Support students with autism and complex needs
- Develop strategies to navigate challenging behaviors and keep students engaged
- Work collaboratively with the teaching team to provide high-quality learning experiences
Salary: £50,000 per annum, depending on experience
Requirements: Enhanced DBS, experience working with neuro-divergent children, ability to work collaboratively with the teaching team
