ROV Electronics Technician - Job Description

HSB Technical Ltd is a specialist recruiter within the Power & Propulsion, Shipbuilding, Shipping & Energy and Aerospace sectors. We have a number of permanent and contract vacancies for multiple businesses across the UK and overseas.

Job Summary

The position of ROV Electronics Technician involves installing control system upgrades to ROVs, Trenchers and Ploughs, as well as troubleshooting discrepancies in specific ROV systems. This role may involve UK and worldwide travel.

Responsibilities
  • Assembly of systems on test bench for testing and setup purposes
  • Prepare and conduct client visit FAT
  • Commission FAT'd system in Client ROV at client premises / vessel - worldwide
Requirements
  • Offshore experience with Triton XL or XLS ROV
  • Electronics qualification HNC/HND
  • Ability to design simple interfacing circuits as required
  • Ability to design sensor simulators and other circuit board test loads
  • Programming experience of embedded controllers
