Electronics Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to join our team in the Advanced Targeting Sector. As a key member of our electronics development team, you will be responsible for developing new electronics for the DragonFire system, a cutting-edge Laser Directed Energy Weapon.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop new electronics through the full design lifecycle, from requirements analysis to final delivery.
- Work closely with Software, Firmware, Mechanical, and Systems engineers to solve real integration problems on test systems.
- Have ownership of assigned electronics work packages, planning your work and reporting progress to your team lead.
- Receive technical and personal developmental support from recognised industry experts in the fields of electro-optics and defence avionics.
- Participate in training delivered via a combination of on-the-job experience and formal technical training.
- Degree qualified in Electronics Engineering or related science or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency in at least one aspect of electronics design, for example: analogue, mixed-signal, digital, or power electronics.
- Strong team-working and interpersonal skills are essential, and experience of coaching junior colleagues is very desirable.
- Knowledge of developing electronics within a development process framework.
- Experience in some areas of the design lifecycle, from requirements definition through to implementation, integration test, and delivery.
