Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Quality Improvement Lead to join our Quality Improvement and Clinical Excellence Team at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH). As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in enhancing the standards of care provided to our patients, fostering a culture of continuous learning, and driving quality improvement initiatives across the Trust.

The successful candidate will have significant senior clinical experience, a strong background in quality improvement projects, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for providing specialist advice and guidance to clinical areas, supporting the delivery of the NNUH Clinical Professionals, Midwives, and Nurses Strategy, and contributing to the development of QI management capability within the Trust.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support and facilitate ward and departmental teams in ensuring the highest standards of clinical care are continuously measured and improved.
  • Plan, lead, and implement quality improvement programmes to improve the quality of care, patient safety, and experience.
  • Contribute to the development of QI management capability and building of sustainable, continuous quality improvement approaches within the Trust.
  • Be an advocate for Nursing, Midwifery, and Clinical Professional Excellence and Quality Improvement, empowering clinicians to adopt the QI methodology for implementing new ideas.

Person Specification

  • Registration with the NMC or HCPC.
  • Education to Degree level or equivalent experience.
  • Significant senior clinical experience within healthcare.
  • Experience of working in quality improvement projects.
  • Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Effective role model, demonstrating NNUH's PRIDE values of People-focused, Respect, Integrity, Dedication, and Excellence.
