About this role

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Perinatal Community Mental Health team in Norfolk & Suffolk. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment and treatment of women with mental health needs during pregnancy and postnatally.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to the team, ensuring high-quality care and adherence to best practices.
  • Work closely with the Community Team Manager to develop and implement service plans, responding to the needs of women and families within our catchment area.
  • Hold a small case load of complex cases, utilizing your expertise to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of projects aimed at enhancing the perinatal mental health service, promoting evidence-based practice and innovation.
  • Support staff with clinical guidance, mentoring, and expertise, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality care.

Person specification

  • Non-Medical Independent Prescriber qualification.
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Extensive experience in clinical leadership, supervision, and mentoring, with a proven track record in delivering high-quality care.
  • Sound clinical expertise and knowledge of mental health disorders and their treatments.
