The Staff Support service at Norfolk & Suffolk Foundation NHS Trust is seeking a skilled Clinical Psychologist to deliver mental health support to staff members. This role involves direct clinical care of staff experiencing various mental health presentations, often following difficult incidents at work.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality specialist clinical psychology services for staff with mental health problems.
  • Undertake specialized clinical work, including assessment, direct and indirect intervention, supervision, training, and consultancy.
  • Utilize research and training skills for clinical audit, policy, and service development, research activity, and other programs within the service.

This position requires face-to-face working with individuals, and while some hybrid working may be possible, it is not a remote working position. The Trust has ambitious aspirations and is pushing ahead with exciting transformation work, requiring dedicated individuals to support this journey.

Person SpecificationQualifications
  • Post-graduate doctorate degree in clinical psychology, accredited by BPS
  • Registered as a practitioner psychologist with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Supervisor training, to be a supervisor of doctoral program clinical psychology trainees or willing to undertake training
Experience
  • Experience of working with a wide variety and severity of client groups and clinical problems, in various settings, including maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the face of highly emotive and distressing problems.
  • Experience of working with a range of complex and challenging behaviors and exercising full clinical responsibility for psychological treatment.
