Job Title: Harassment Support Worker

The University of Essex is seeking a dedicated and empathetic individual to join our Inclusion team as a Harassment Support Worker. This is a unique opportunity for professional development and growth, where you will play a vital role in supporting fellow staff members through the University's Report and Support System.

About the Role:

  • Provide confidential listening and advice services to staff members experiencing harassment or bullying.
  • Signpost and support staff in seeking appropriate support and resolution through the Report and Support system.
  • Work autonomously, maintaining confidentiality and dealing with clients professionally and empathetically.
  • Participate in training and network meetings to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Raise awareness of the Harassment Report and Support Service within the University community.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with diverse cultural backgrounds and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work autonomously.
  • Completed online How We Work at Essex essential training, specifically the EDI section.
