Job Summary

King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Diabetes Clinical Psychology Expert to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in providing specialist psychological assessment and treatment to individuals with complex psychological and physical health needs. They will work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and contribute to the development of evidence-based practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist psychological screening, assessment, and treatment to patients with type 1/complex type 2 diabetes and associated psychological difficulties.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
  • Contribute to research and quality improvement initiatives within the department.

Requirements:

  • Entry-level qualification in Applied Psychology (professional Doctorate or MSc + PG Diploma level additional).
  • Additional training in a specialized area of psychological practice through formal post-qualification training (PG Diploma or equivalent).
  • Registered with the HCPC as Practitioner Psychologist and evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Experience working with individuals with medical conditions and complex psychological needs.

Salary Range: £62,000 - £67,900 per annum pro rata incl HCA.
