About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our Palliative Care Hub team at St John's Hospice in Moggerhanger, Bedfordshire. As a Senior Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, specialist end-of-life care to patients in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in the community, providing palliative and end-of-life care to patients in their own homes.
  • Support patients with their medical, social, spiritual, and emotional needs.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to deliver holistic care.
  • Use your initiative and organisational skills to manage your workload effectively.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
Requirements
  • A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
  • At least 1 year's experience in a care setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and use your initiative.
  • IT literacy and ability to work with a laptop.
