We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Conference and Banqueting Manager to join our team at Exclusive Hotels and Venues. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, where you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our conference and banqueting services.
Role Responsibility
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that all conference and banqueting operations run smoothly and efficiently, meeting the high standards expected by our guests.
- Support the operational teams in delivering exceptional service and ensuring that all events are executed to perfection.
- Lead from the front by running and overseeing events, remaining hands-on and demonstrating luxury standards.
- Ensure that all conference and banqueting department standards remain consistent in the absence of the C&B Manager.
- Build strong relationships with clients, ensuring that every meeting or event organiser is met on arrival and receives a warm welcome and thorough briefing.
- Ensure every meeting receives a debrief to check satisfaction and thank them for using the hotel, with any future sales leads passed to the Sales Team.
- Assist the C&B Manager in the recruitment and development of permanent and casual team members.
- Support the training of the team to enable them to deliver a consistently high level of service.
- Ensure functions room set up is per function sheet and that our standards are maintained.
- Optimise opportunities to hit and exceed budgeted targets.
The Ideal Candidate
What We're Looking For
We are looking for an experienced and skilled Assistant Conference and Banqueting Manager who has a minimum of 2 years supervisory/management experience in a similar 4 to 5 star standard hotel within a conference and banqueting department. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, be able to work under pressure, and have a flexible approach to working different shift patterns.
