Short Breaks Officer Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Short Breaks Officer to join our team at 21 HSC LIMITED in South Ayrshire. This role presents an excellent opportunity to contribute to the well-being of unpaid carers by facilitating access to essential breaks.
Responsibilities
- Implement the Carers Gateway Short Break programme, prioritizing fair and efficient distribution of funds.
- Enhance awareness of short breaks among hard-to-reach groups and promote their benefits.
- Manage the online application process and provide support to carers as needed.
- Chair assessment panels to evaluate applications and allocate funds.
- Ensure transparent record-keeping of receipts and expenditures.
- Foster collaboration with Carer Support Officers to optimize short breaks in supporting client objectives.
- Maintain liaison with key stakeholders, including Shared Care Scotland.
- Analyze data to inform strategic decisions and prepare regular progress reports.
Required Qualifications
- Standard grade General Level passes in four subjects, including English.
- Proven experience in managing complex projects, particularly those involving multiple stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Desirable: possession of a driving license and prior budget management experience.
Salary: £9,689 per annum
