We are seeking a Disability Support Coordinator to join our team, working part-time (14 hours per week), including some evenings and weekends, on a permanent basis. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals and families.

About the Role:

  • Develop and implement short breaks services that meet the unique needs of each individual, ensuring seamless delivery of support services.
  • Collaborate with local authorities, community groups, and other stakeholders to promote the benefits of short breaks and ensure carers have access to the resources they need.
  • Provide information, advice, and guidance to carers, empowering them to make informed decisions about their caring roles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit and engage carers, supporting them in their caring roles and promoting the value of short breaks.
  • Assess individual needs, developing tailored plans to meet their requirements and enhance their overall well-being.
  • Manage resources effectively, allocating budgets to ensure the smooth operation of services and maximum impact.

Requirements:

  • A strong understanding of the challenges faced by carers and individuals with disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in project management, budgeting, and resource allocation, with a focus on delivering high-quality services.
