Key Responsibilities- Financial Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using Sage and other software.
- Transaction Recording: Record and categorize daily financial transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, ledgers, and accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements, to support business decision-making.
- Month-End and Year-End Closing: Support the directors with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Financial Analysis: Monitor and analyze financial data to identify areas for improvement and optimize business performance.
- Supplier Management: Manage supplier relationships, place orders using Sage software, and ensure timely receipt of goods.
- Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support and order processing as needed.
To succeed in this role, you will need to be a self-motivated and positive individual with excellent relationship-building skills. Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex financial information clearly are essential. You should have excellent Microsoft Excel skills and be proficient in using Sage software. An understanding of the construction industry is beneficial but not essential.
Requirements- Qualifications: AAT qualification or equivalent certification in accounting, or Qualified by Experience.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in Sage accounting software and MS Excel.
- Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
