Curriculum Lead of Biology Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and ambitious Curriculum Lead of Biology to join our Biology department at Astonishing School in Derby. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and passionate educator to lead our Biology team and contribute to the school's mission to provide high-quality education to our students.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Biology department, developing and implementing curriculum plans, and ensuring high standards of teaching and learning. They will also be expected to work closely with colleagues to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Biology department and develop curriculum plans to meet the needs of our students
  • Ensure high standards of teaching and learning in the Biology department
  • Work closely with colleagues to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve student outcomes in Biology
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the Biology curriculum

Requirements

  • QTS or PGCE in Biology or a related subject
  • Experience of leading a department or team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
  • Passion for Biology and commitment to delivering high-quality education
