About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and ambitious Curriculum Lead of Music to join our Music department at Astonishing School in Derby. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of music education in our school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive music curriculum that meets the needs of all students
  • Lead and manage a team of music teachers to ensure high-quality teaching and learning
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated curriculum
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress and achievement in music
  • Develop and maintain relationships with music industry partners and stakeholders
Requirements
  • ECT or experienced teacher of music
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Passion for music education and a commitment to excellence
