Smart Works Charity is a dynamic and fast-growing UK charity that provides a unique service to unemployed women. Our mission is to empower women to succeed in their job interviews and achieve their full potential.

The Role

We are seeking a Volunteer Coach to join our team. As a Volunteer Coach, you will work directly with our clients to help them prepare for a job interview or support them with tangible next steps towards securing an interview if they are currently job searching.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead 1:1 appointments with clients across London, focusing on their search for employment.
  • Support clients by providing excellent advice on their next steps towards employment, including interview skills, job applications, and CV editing.
  • Mentor clients during coaching appointments, helping them see their potential.
  • Be empathetic towards clients and empower them to direct the session by asking them what they would like to focus on.
Requirements
  • Senior management experience and experience of interviewing at different levels.
  • Coaching qualifications and/or training are desirable but not essential.
  • An excellent listener with an empathetic nature towards clients and their backgrounds.
  • Comfortable working with volunteers and clients from different backgrounds and respectful of other people's experiences and approaches.
  • Ability to work well in a team to ensure clients have the best experience.
  • Flexibility to work with changing client schedules.
  • Passion for our mission and fashion as a force for good.
