Job Title: Social Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Social Worker to join our team at Connect2Kent. As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children and adults with disabilities, ensuring they receive the care and support they need to live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of disabled children and young people, assessing their needs and developing personalized support plans.
  • Work collaboratively with service users, families, and other agencies to provide comprehensive support and advocacy.
  • Identify and address safeguarding and quality of care issues, ensuring the well-being and safety of service users.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with Education and Health staff to contribute to Education, Health, and Care plans.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in legislation, policies, and best practices to provide high-quality support and services.
Requirements:
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently, as well as within a team.
  • Interest in supervisory, mediation, and negotiation skills.
  • Computer literacy and ability to travel across a wide geographical area.
  • Thorough knowledge of human development, social work theories, and the needs of people with disabilities.
  • Good knowledge of legislation, policies, and procedures related to disability support.
