Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Relief Security Officer to join our team at Velazquez Pain Relief Center. As a Relief Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and safety of our premises and people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Access Control Management: Manage access control for buildings and car-parks for employees, visitors, and contractors.
  • Patrol and Surveillance: Patrol the buildings, car parks, and grounds to deter and detect problems.
  • ID Verification: Check and challenge ID passes with a professional and friendly approach.
  • Alarm and Lock Management: De-activate and activate alarms, and unlock and lock buildings, rooms, external barriers, and gates to ensure that no unauthorized personnel or hazards are on site.
  • System Monitoring: Monitor fire, security, and building systems, including CCTV.
  • Health and Safety: Identify and report Health & Safety issues and carry out first aid if necessary.
  • Customer Service: Respond to customer requests and queries.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain records including incident reports using computer- and paper-based systems.

Requirements

  • Security License: An SIA Door Supervision (DS) or Security Guarding (SG) license is essential.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Pressure Management: The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Customer-Facing Experience: Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in security.
  • Background Check: Five years' checkable history and references.
  • Criminal Records Check: To pass a criminal records check (CRC) to the required standards.

Desirable Qualifications

  • SIA Public Space Surveillance (PSS) License: A SIA Public Space Surveillance (PSS) (CCTV) license would be an advantage.
  • First Aid Qualification: A First Aid qualification would be beneficial.
  • Similar Experience: Experience in a similar role would be an asset.
