Child Support Specialist

Salary: £25,584 - £27,269 per annum
We are seeking an experienced Child Support Specialist to join our Enhanced Family Help Team. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with Social Workers, Family Practitioners, and other professionals to provide targeted support to children and their families.
Your role will involve working in family homes and the community, providing practical interventions and promoting safety and well-being. You will need to have relevant experience in an environment providing services for children and their families, a good knowledge of child development from birth to age 19, and factors of Neglect.
You will be responsible for delivering interventions one-to-one at home and/or in the community or in a group basis, with children, young people, and parents/caregivers. A NVQ level 3 in a relevant subject or equivalent experience is required, as well as willingness to undertake training in your first year.
You will work a 37 hour week, with some flexibility to work outside normal office hours to deliver support to children and families as needed. You will also be required to travel across the county to support the team function.
