We are seeking a qualified Personal Support Worker for Child to join our team at UKCIL Ltd. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with a young child who requires support due to their autism diagnosis and sensory processing disorder.

Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality support to the child, promoting their independence and well-being. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with daily routines, including meal preparation and personal care
  • Accompanying the child on outings to local parks and play areas, promoting social interaction and physical activity
  • Administering medication as required, including inhalers or antihistamines
  • Providing close supervision at all times due to the child's lack of danger awareness
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A strong understanding of autism and sensory processing disorders
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with the child
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations
