Higher Education Support Specialist

About the Role:
Beacon Support is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Specialist Disability Mentor to provide one-to-one support to Higher Education students with disabilities/mental health conditions.
The successful candidate will assist students in developing coping strategies and techniques to overcome their particular disability-related difficulties. This is a dynamic and rewarding role that offers flexible hours and a generous hourly rate of £30-£40, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to Higher Education students with disabilities/mental health conditions
- Develop and implement effective strategies to support students' academic and personal needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless support services
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Postgraduate qualification in mental health or a related field
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., BPS Chartered Member, GMC Registration)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven experience working with students with disabilities/mental health conditions
