Support Assistant for Child with Special Needs

The role of a Support Assistant is to provide assistance to a young child who requires support due to sensory processing disorder, autism, and non-verbal communication. The ideal candidate will remain calm, patient, and experienced in working with children with similar needs.
Responsibilities:- Bedtime Routine Support: Assist the child with their bedtime routine, ensuring they are comfortable and secure.
- Outings: Accompany the child on outings to places of interest such as parks and soft play areas.
- Medication Administration: Administer inhalers or antihistamines if required by the child's healthcare provider.
- Supervision: Supervise the child at all times due to their lack of danger awareness.
- Salary: £12 per hour.
- Hours: 2 hours a week, with flexible scheduling to be discussed at interview.
- Training: Free training can be provided to employed staff members.
- Holidays: Annual holiday entitlement equivalent to 5.6 consecutive weeks.
- Manual Handling Training: Manual handling, handling of hazardous chemicals, and food handling training may be required.
