Personal Assistant for Special Needs Child

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to support a happy 6 year old boy with Autism and Global Developmental Delay. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with a child who is mostly non-verbal, has limited mobility, and requires assistance with daily tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support to the child, including assistance with daily routines and mealtimes
- Encourage speech development and communication through play and interaction
- Support the child's physical and emotional needs during outings and activities
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for the child at all times
Requirements and Qualifications:
- A friendly and caring personality
- Patient, calm, and relaxed demeanor
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing situations
- Vigilant and attentive to the child's needs
- Fluent in English language
- Clean driving license and own car (desirable)
- First Aid training (desirable)
Salary and Benefits:
- Hourly rate: $12.50
- Free Care Skills training for employer workers
- Reimbursement for agreed expenses incurred as part of the role
