We are seeking a highly skilled Anaesthetic Practitioner to join our team at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust, based in the Cath Lab. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a commitment to patient care, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Anaesthetic Practitioner/ODP to work alongside Anaesthetists, ensuring safe care for patients undergoing Neurointervention and Cardiac procedures. You will be responsible for maintaining health, safety, and infection control in clinical work areas, storing and preparing prescribed drugs, and communicating effectively with other team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain high standards of patient care, working closely with Anaesthetists and other healthcare professionals.
  • Assess requirements for safe anaesthesia, identify plans for recovery, and monitor the effects of drugs on patients.
  • Store, prepare, and administer prescribed drugs, adhering to Trust policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated expertise in anaesthetic practice, with a focus on Neurointervention and Cardiac procedures.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in anaesthetic practice.
