Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Specialist to join our team in the Catheter Laboratory. As an Anaesthetics Support Officer, you will be responsible for providing safe and effective anaesthesia services to our patients.

About the Role

This role is perfect for a motivated and experienced Anaesthetic ODP who wants to take their career to the next level. As an Anaesthetics Support Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining health, safety, and infection control practices in line with Trust policies and procedures.
  • Preparing and administering prescribed drugs to patients, monitoring their effects, and ensuring compliance with Trust policies.
  • Assessing requirements for safe anaesthesia in the Cath Lab and identifying plans for recovery.
  • Communicating effectively with other members of the Cath Lab team, Anaesthetists, and clinical staff.
  • Providing resources to cover 24-hour emergency rotas as required and contributing to the efficient use of funded Cath Lab time.

Key Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working in an Anaesthetic environment, preferably in a Catheter Laboratory.
  • Strong knowledge of anaesthetic techniques and pharmacology.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Able to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
