Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Breastfeeding Support and Programme Coordinator. This exciting opportunity will see you working closely with families, healthcare professionals, and local authorities to promote and support breastfeeding in our community.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong organisational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will be responsible for coordinating breastfeeding programmes, providing training and clinical supervision, and collecting and analysing data to inform service development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate breastfeeding programmes across the Trust, ensuring effective delivery and monitoring of services
  • Provide training and clinical supervision to healthcare professionals on breastfeeding best practice
  • Collect and analyse data to inform service development and improvement
  • Work closely with families, healthcare professionals, and local authorities to promote and support breastfeeding
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recognised qualification in breastfeeding counselling or equivalent experience
  • Significant experience of working in a health promotion setting, preferably within the NHS or local authority
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise own workload and that of others
  • Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office
