Empowering Students with Learning Difficulties and Disabilities

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Mentor to join our team. As a Learning Support Mentor, you will play a vital role in empowering students with learning difficulties and disabilities to realise their full potential.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide collaborative support across learning environments, aiding with materials, note-taking, and the use of enabling technologies.
  • Support personalised learning outcomes for students, particularly those with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCP).
  • Adapt and modify learning resources to cater to individual needs.
  • Promote and encourage independence among students.
  • Provide holistic support including during breaks, trips, and off-campus activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, target setting, and student progress.

Requirements:
  • Experience supporting young people with learning difficulties or disabilities in an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong commitment to inclusion.
  • Proficiency in adapting educational materials and providing tailored support.
  • GCSEs or equivalent at grade C or above in English and Maths.
  • A proactive team player dedicated to continuous improvement.
