Travel Industry Business Growth Manager

This is a unique opportunity to join Ambitions Travel Recruitment, a boutique recruitment agency specialising in travel and hospitality roles, as a Head of Business Development. We are looking for a seasoned professional with a proven track record of success in business development, particularly within the travel industry.
About the Role:
As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in driving business growth and establishing strategic partnerships with Online Travel Agencies (OTAs). Your expertise will be essential in understanding different business models, discovering new ways to generate revenue, and identifying areas for growth and innovation in the UK market.
Main Responsibilities:
- Study the market thoroughly to understand different business models and discover new ways to make money.
- Keep an eye on market trends and what competitors are doing to find areas to grow and innovate.
- Carefully update and organise customer data in the system, making sure to follow up on leads and contacts.
- Help create and manage important documents and presentations for business activities.
- Skilfully manage the sales process, making sure to meet and exceed goals.
- Have discussions with stakeholders and decision-makers, sharing valuable insights.
- Use reporting tools to predict potential business opportunities based on transaction numbers and audiences.
- Negotiate and create agreements with new partners.
- Work with the Key Account management team to ensure new partners get on board smoothly.
- Share knowledge and ideas with colleagues in the Business Development and sales teams.
- Contribute to the company's growth by working on development projects.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in business development to OTAs, within the travel industry is essential.
- Must have a good understanding and experience in API-based partnerships within the travel industry.
- Self-driven and independent, with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Strong market knowledge and business acumen.
- Proficient in sales and negotiation, with a track record of closing deals.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with a determination to achieve results.
- Familiarity with leading CRM systems.
- Confident decision-maker, skilled in handling challenging situations.
- Possess a degree or equivalent qualifications.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of other European languages is beneficial but not mandatory.
