About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Marriott International. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the kitchen team to deliver exceptional culinary experiences for our guests.
- Develop and implement menus, recipes, and cooking techniques to meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, as well as regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and other culinary team members to achieve business objectives and improve operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of kitchen staff.
- Monitor and control kitchen expenses, including food costs, labor costs, and inventory management.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment and facilities are properly maintained and cleaned.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the highest quality ingredients and products.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in a hotel or restaurant environment.
- Proven track record of delivering exceptional culinary experiences and achieving business objectives.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and guests.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards, as well as regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
