About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Marriott International. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the kitchen team to deliver exceptional culinary experiences for our guests.
  • Develop and implement menus, recipes, and cooking techniques to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Supervise and coordinate food preparation, presentation, and service to meet the highest standards.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to plan and execute special events, banquets, and catering services.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, supplies, and equipment to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the highest quality ingredients and products.
  • Monitor and control kitchen expenses to meet budgetary requirements.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for kitchen staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in a hotel or restaurant environment.
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional culinary experiences and meeting high standards of quality and service.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and guests.
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and quality standards, with the ability to ensure compliance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
