Compliance Officer Legal Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Officer Legal Specialist to join our team at Compliance Professionals. As a key member of our compliance function, you will play a critical role in ensuring our client's compliance with relevant regulations and laws.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct risk-based third-party due diligence and screening to identify potential compliance risks.
  • Monitor and report on compliance metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide compliance guidance and support.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in regulatory requirements and ensure our client's compliance with new laws and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Experience working in a compliance function, preferably in the energy or financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of UK financial services regulation (FCA Handbook) and commodity exchange regulations.
  • Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and apply them to a commercial energy business.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders.
