Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Administrator to join our team in our Chorley office. As an Apprentice Administrator, you will provide administrative support to our department, maintaining our database and other company IT systems, responding to telephone calls and managing mail, and ensuring the security and confidentiality of our records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the department, including data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
  • Maintain the department's database and other company IT systems, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information.
  • Respond to telephone calls and manage incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring prompt and efficient communication.
  • Ensure the security and confidentiality of our records, adhering to data protection policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, providing excellent customer service.
  • Comply with our Equal Opportunities Policy and Procedure in all employment practices.

Requirements

  • Basic administration skills, including data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
  • GCSE/equivalent in Maths and English (or willingness to complete alongside the qualification).
  • Ability to manage own workload and work independently.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on providing a positive experience for our customers.
  • Understanding of the use of IT and electronic communications, including Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Be open to direction, using initiative to seek advice where necessary.
