Job Summary: We are seeking an Apprentice Cyber Security Analyst to support our security operations and vulnerability management processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, logging, and resolving security alerts and cyber security threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Security Operations: Monitor and log security alerts and cyber security threats, and work with global teams to resolve alerts and events.
  • Interpret Security Reports: Interpret security reports and support resolution of issues identified.
  • Investigate Security Incidents: Investigate, report, and remediate security incidents.
  • Support Vulnerability Management: Support penetration testing and vulnerability management programs, coordinating remediation efforts with other internal teams.
  • Maintain Security Policy: Maintain up-to-date detailed knowledge of the IT Security industry, including the development of new attacks and threat vectors.
  • Other Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Cyber Security Knowledge: Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including network security, encryption, authentication, and access control.
  • Operating Systems: Familiarity with common operating systems (Windows, Linux) and network protocols.
  • Cloud Environments: Familiarity with Cloud Environments such as Microsoft Entra or Amazon AWS.
  • Microsoft Office 365: Ability to work with Microsoft Office 365 software.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team or independently.
  • Education: Essential: 5 GCSEs inclusive of English and Mathematics OR equivalent.
