About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cyber Security Analyst Apprentice to join our team at ESG. As a key member of our security operations team, you will play a critical role in supporting the security of our global data and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support security operations and vulnerability management processes through daily tasks designed to increase your knowledge and skills in cyber security.
  • Monitor, log, triage, escalate, and resolve security alerts and cyber security threats as a first point of contact, working with global teams to resolve alerts and events.
  • Support penetration testing and vulnerability management programs, coordinating remediation efforts with other internal teams.
  • Maintain up-to-date detailed knowledge of the IT Security industry, including the development of new attacks and threat vectors.
  • Support the maintenance of internal security policy to maintain compliance.
Requirements
  • An interest in Cyber Security and/or pursuing a career within a cyber security-related role.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including network security, encryption, authentication, and access control.
  • Familiarity with common operating systems (Windows, Linux) and network protocols.
  • Familiarity with Cloud Environments such as Microsoft Entra or Amazon AWS.
  • An ability to work with Microsoft Office 365 software.
  • Happy working and studying flexibly in an office environment and remotely.
  • Essential: 5 GCSEs inclusive of English and Mathematics OR equivalent.
  • Desirable: GCSE in Computer Science or similar OR equivalent.
