Job Summary

We are seeking an Apprentice Information Security Analyst to support our security operations and vulnerability management processes. The successful candidate will work with global teams to resolve security alerts and events, and will be responsible for maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the IT Security industry.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Security Operations
  • Support monitoring, logging, triage, escalation, and resolution of security alerts and cyber security threats.
Vulnerability Management
  • Support penetration testing and vulnerability management programs, coordinating remediation efforts with other internal teams.
Security Policy
  • Maintain the internal security policy to ensure compliance.
Knowledge Management
  • Maintain up-to-date detailed knowledge of the IT Security industry, including the development of new attacks and threat vectors.

Requirements

  1. Experience
  • An interest in Cyber Security and/or pursuing a career within a cyber security-related role.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including network security, encryption, authentication, and access control.
  • Familiarity with common operating systems (Windows, Linux) and network protocols.
  • Familiarity with Cloud Environments such as Microsoft Entra or Amazon AWS.
  • An ability to work with Microsoft Office 365 software.
Education
  • Essential: 5 GCSEs inclusive of English and Mathematics OR equivalent.
  • Desirable: GCSE in Computer Science or similar OR equivalent.
