Sales Director

As a Sales Director at The Advocate Group, you will be responsible for managing a high-performing team and key grocery customers for a leading food company based in the North West. You will be P&L responsible for all UK Grocery customers and will manage a large team of commercial professionals to strategically lead the customer agenda.
You will be responsible for delivering best-in-class customer service, alongside long-term profitable plans, and coaching a developing team. To be successful in this role, you will need to have branded food and drink experience, demonstratable experience managing complex P&L's for UK retail customers (Tesco, Sainsburys, Morrisons, Asda etc.), and clear management experience with the ability to demonstrate progression and leadership of a high-performing sales team.
Responsibilities:
- Build excellent relationships to drive category growth across the U.K. & I retail.
- Develop and drive your channel and account strategies, delivering the budgeted P&L for your customer base.
- Win key new business and listings targets across the market.
- Best-in-class account management of existing customers.
- Build and lead a high-performing sales team.
- Full commercial responsibility for your accounts, including forecasting, P&L, and development and execution of JBP to achieve targets.
- Work cross-functionally with other business functions.
- Be a leading voice within the business, someone that can be a go-to figure for junior members of the team.
Experience:
- Clear experience managing both a team and UK retail customers.
- Hunger to progress, learn, cultivate, and build a winning team.
- Fully P&L responsible, experienced with complex JBP negotiations.
