Job Summary

The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Patient Administration System (PAS) specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Corporate Operational structure, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective use of the PAS system and providing high-quality support to our operational teams.

Main Responsibilities
  • Create, amend, and cancel clinic templates in accordance with the Clinic Mandate process.
  • Develop and upload letter templates in collaboration with Divisional Management teams, ensuring compliance with NHS policies and guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date PAS system information, including OPCs codes, ICD10 codes, Consultants, GPs, Alternative numbers, Terminals, Risks, and Validation codes.
  • Test new software releases in the relevant 'test' environment, reporting any errors to software suppliers prior to loading onto the 'live' environment.
  • Provide expert advice on Data Quality issues to users, ensuring that queries are resolved in a timely manner or escalated to the PAS & PAC Manager as appropriate.
  • Regularly undertake and ensure Data Quality audits are completed, and produce and analyze Duplicate Registration reports in collaboration with the Medical Records Manager.
  • Ensure that PAS missing data reports are produced and updated in a timely manner, and update patient PAS details and remove activity from the PAS for deceased patients.

Requirements
  • GCSE level or equivalent education.
  • ECDL certificate or equivalent.
  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in an acute NHS Trust.
  • Proven experience as a PAS user.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and deliver timely and accurate results.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills
  • Prince 2 Foundation or equivalent.
  • Importing and presenting data using Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of Patient Access targets.
  • Knowledge of C&B system.
