Coventry, Coventry, United Kingdom NHS Full time
About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Edge of Care Services team. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people who are at risk of entering the care system or experiencing crisis within their homes.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide reflective supervision to staff, advising on roles and practices, contributing to audits, action plans, and communication. You will also be responsible for preparing for supervision, deputising at meetings, and covering rotas. Additionally, you will support staff meetings, undertake development tasks, ensure quality assurance, and provide constructive feedback.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong leadership and role modelling skills. You will work closely with the Edge of Care Services Manager to ensure that all tasks align with departmental policy and include management oversight of court reports and on-call duties as required.

About Us

Edge of Care Services is a team that provides support to children and young people who are at risk of entering the care system or experiencing crisis within their homes. We work closely with partner agencies, communities, young people, children, and their families to provide a range of services that promote the well-being and safety of our clients.

We are committed to ensuring that our communities are represented across our workforce and that we are a truly inclusive organisation that encourages diversity in all respects. We welcome applicants from minority ethnic, LGBT+, disabled, and neurodiverse communities to make a real difference to our residents.

Our Values

We are guided by our One Coventry Values, which include equity, respect, and diversity. We believe that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their background or circumstances. We are committed to creating a workplace culture that is inclusive, supportive, and empowering.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Practitioner who shares our values and is passionate about working with children, young people, and their families. If you are a strong leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
