Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Learning Support Practitioner to join our ALS team, part of our Learner Services department at the College Group. As a Senior Learning Support Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality support for EHCP learners throughout their learner journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a mentor for the wider team of Learning Support Practitioners, sharing best practices and completing observations.
  • Work closely with the ALS Co-ordinators to develop and review support plans for learners that are aspirational and personalised.
  • Support with the running of high needs interventions such as the Preparation for Adulthood and Social Skills programmes.
  • Ensure that the support needs of EHCP learners are met and outcomes achieved, including their wider social skills and independence.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy, or equivalent.
  • Relevant Level 3 qualification or above.
  • Experience of working with people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities, or other support needs.
  • The successful applicant will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check.
